SPECS:
The Tesoro Compadre was designed with the idea that less is more. This modest machine can do a lot of the same things that its bigger brothers can do. It works great for coin hunting, competition hunting and relic hunting, but it does it without any excess knobs. Switch on the detector and you're working in a silent search, motion all metal mode. The farther you turn the knob, the more discrimination you can bring to bear on those trashy sites. The Compadre now comes standard with a 5.75" round concentric coil. The depth is equivalent to the original 7" concentric, plus the new coil reduces the likelihood of target masking in extremely trashy ground.It also gives you the ability to get into and around natural obstacles like bushes, fences, and playground equipment.
The Compadre has it all. One knob simplicity for the beginner and high gain circuitry and the famous Tesoro ED-180 discrimination for the advanced user. If one detector can do all of this, maybe less is more.

**Notes On Gold Detectors**
These Gold Detectors are designed to search for Gold and use mainly different frequencies than normal use detectors. By using slightly higher frequencies than most normal detectors makes them more sensitive to Gold objects. Yet they can still find coins but are not as sensitive to them as the normal detectors would be. The search coils like many other normal detectors can be submerged into water for searching as they are waterproof. However while hunting in and around water no matter what type of detector you are using except water detectors that can totally be submerged, caution should be in place anywhere water is close by. Though the search coil is waterproof the control boxes are not! If you accidently get water into your control box could totally destroy your detector and void your warranty period! Always cover your control box with a waterproof cover or plastic bags if hunting in and out of water. Even rain drops and mositure can seep into your control boxes, so when you sweep you coil underwater do not splash around , go slowly and try to keep from splashing water up on your controls. If you find a signal in water it's best to lay your detector down on dry land before digging any holes or checking any cracks out. Always protect your control box from water, weather it be dew, droplets, rain, splashing or whatever, you can search up to a certain height in water maybe a foot or two below your control box but be careful getting the control Box wet always!!
Also beware that plastic bags covering your detectors control box can produce sweating inside the bags if completly sealed off from any air getting in. Try to leave a air vent somewhere around the bottom of bag, near the handle after you wrap it up. If you see the plastic bag sweating inside immediatly remove it, moisture inside can get into the cracks around the control housing on any detector. Try to find ways to leave small air vents for it to breath and then you should not have to many problems with sweating inside.Always protect your control box from water and take some preventive care of your investment, they are built pretty tough but not made for banging around on rocks and so on, take care of your detector and it will reward you with many great finds. BUCKET SLUICE CONCENTRATOR
This is not just another piece of rain gutter called a concentrator !
I have spent years developing this design The materials used in the
construction of my equipment are all top of the line, and manufactured
on state of the art thermoforming machinery.
Here in California we had the need for a concentrator that would
recover gold in it's many forms, from nuggets, pickers, flake , flat flakes
to -100 mesh dust.
The new Bucket Sluice Concentrator is the answer for us all....
The specially designed drop riffles allow for better gold recovery.
This concentrator is made from ABS plastic to take the abuse of your
mining activities. The light weight plastic allows for a small harmonic
vibration to be generated by the water flowing down the unit. This
vibration settles the gold to the bottom of the riffles and allows lighter
material to come to the top and wash way. The drop riffle system is fast
cleaning yet reduces the upward turbulence within the sluice box. The
drop riffle design acts just like a natural crack in the bed rock to capture
the gold. Conventional Hungarian designs launch the fine gold back into
the pay dirt and loses the gold out the end.
This unit may be operated using less water than other cleanup methods
on the market. Allowing you to save money by using a cheaper fountain
or sump pump to process your concentrates. The unit will operate fine using
pumps of 200 - 1000 gph I connect a female garden hose fitting to the
unit for a water connection.
You may operate this unit either by the use of a water pump while in
camp or by a garden hose when you are at home.

Notice in the photos that the gold is only in the first three riffles, if you find
gold past the first three riffles, slow the water flow down just a bit and keep
processing your material.
